It is another Toyota Gazoo sweep as Frenchman Sebastien Ogier leads a podium finish for his team at the WRC Safari rally in Kenya.

Ogier put up a wonderful display throughout the three-day competition despite a dramatic final day that saw him lose his tail at the opening stage and a massive stone smashing his windscreen at the power stage.

This was Ogier’s 58th career win and the second of the safari Rally as Toyota once again raked in 283 points to sweep the podium ahead of Hyundai.

The power stage brought to a close an exciting week of Rally action as Kenya celebrated a historic 70 years of a Safari rally culture.

A surprised Ogier could not believe it at the end of the final day as he escaped massive misfortunes to lead with one of the closest margins ahead of his team mate and current world Champions Kalle Rovanpera.

“Look, (pointing at a massive crack on the windscreen), Even at the power stage, we had a massive stone on the windscreen, a lot of misfortune but at the end of it I am glad we brought it home.” Ogier said after the win.
